It’s said that passion is a poor person’s career. Passion has two definitions: strong and barely controllable emotion; and the suffering and death of Jesus. I find this to be interesting because when you talk about passion with someone, an average person will probably describe their passion as something they do for work, or a hobby, or a firm belief; almost anything else other than what the word really means.
Words shape our reality because each word has a definition that explains the purpose of that word for the purpose of helping us better understand [the world and each other] and get through life. If you didn’t have words for certain things you may find it difficult to interact with those things. What happens when you don’t understand or misinterpret a word is in essence you distort the fabric of reality. You appropriate a meaning to something that doesn’t mean that, based on how that concept is generally understood.
