Whether it be for maintenance, aesthetics, practical purposes, or something else, training your muscles to develop in a certain way is how you get the most out of any workout regimen. Having clear and concise goals is how you level up in the gym. Being able to lift things up and put things down is fine but take it a step further and uncover why that is of value to you, and how you can get the most out of training and out of your body. When you can hone in on your desired results for your body you can guide your training efforts in a way that produces longevity, purpose, and intentionality, that will create a positive tautology in your life.

There are several components in regard to what that looks like and everyone’s body is different, but the principle behind the practice is similar if not the same. Monitoring your diet, journaling and keeping track of progress, developing and deploying discipline, and challenging yourself to be better every day is how improvement and results manifest.
