Hi,
Alright, let me explain. So, Daylight Savings Time starting on Sunday basically threw me off. That’s not 100% the reason, but it’s like 90% of the reason. Because of this there was no Newsletter this week. However, mainly because I want to get content out this week and also because the Life with Ken Newsletter is having a bit of a moment right now, I figure why not give you an article that is a Newsletter; some cross pollination. As you may know weekly articles and Newsletters are organized into two different email lists. We do this for consent purposes and because integrating the two wouldn’t fit into our process well at this point in time. Maybe someday in the future though. Click here to subscribe to the Life with Ken Newsletter. Okay, let’s get started!

The following is content you may be interested in going into the weekend:
Quality of Information
Now more than ever quality of information is crucial. What kind of information are you getting, who and where is it coming from? What is their credibility, and are you getting diverse perspectives on various stories? How you arrive at the truth can sometimes be in the form of a compilation. Here at Life with Ken we are not the standard bearer for truth, having a strangle hold on what is and isn’t true. We share what we believe to be objectively true and create a relative space where you can decipher things and draw conclusions for yourself.
Real Things on My Mind
We’re coming up on the end of January and I feel like I've accomplished a lot. It’s actually a little scary. I have been following the “eat the frog" method by Brian Tracy and it’s been working. Between following the eat the frog method and consistently doing something on my list every day I have been on track and checki…
Get Your Mind Right BookLife Prize Report
I wanted to briefly mention this because I find it to be a notable milestone. I recently received a critical review for "Get Your Mind Right" from BookLife Prize and I want to share what they said with you:
Assessment:
Plot/Idea: Wyche argues that humankind must embrace the struggle toward self-actualization, urging readers to recognize the spiritual influences in the world around them, put in the effort to live authentically, and believe in the "fullness of your potential." He embraces his subject matter enthusiastically, with a palpable energy that drives his insights on visualizing and achieving your best life.
Prose: Wyche's tone teems with a positive drive that will motivate readers, and his direct, spirited prose perfectly matches the book's theme.
Originality: Get Your Mind Right succeeds at balancing individual responsibility and ownership with spirituality, emotional intelligence, and a profound awareness of the need to treat others with compassion.
Character/Execution: Wyche offers readers several practical steps to alignment, including staying focused on goal achievement through compartmentalization, managing mental barriers and thinking errors, and becoming more mindful in daily activities. He makes several spiritual references throughout his writing as well, and his obvious passion for helping others live a purposeful life is infectious.
Getting any kind of feedback from BookLife is noteworthy because of the impact they have in book/publishing industry and business. I am grateful to BookLife Prize for critically considering this body of work of mine. There is still more to come whether it be from them or elsewhere. I am planning a giveaway and I will follow up with more information on that in the weeks to come.

News Brief:
This is the part of the Newsletter where I highlight at least one piece of news that I think is interesting and impactful. The purpose of this is to promote and encourage Newsletter subscribers to be aware of current events and give them a different perspective to help inform thier take. I used to call it “What I’m Interested In” but now i’m trying “News Brief” but that feels a little too corporate. So, the new title of this section is somewhat of a work in progress but who knows, News Brief may stick.
Trump Buy’s a Tesla
On Wednesday of this week President Trump held a press conference with Elon Musk at the White House. Trump was buying a Tesla and Elon brought the equavlant to a showroom floor worth of vehicles. Other than the sales pitch for Tesla the press conference was of standard fare. Questions were asked and answered about new tarrifs from Canada, getting Russia to the negotiating table, uncertaintiy in the market, and the impact of DOGE. The historic nature of a president endorsing his friend’s car company is worth commenting on. I have several thoughts on this, on one hand I feel like this is normal for Trump, he knows how to sell, but also, there is something about this dynamic that gives nefarious. I think the democrats in particular would do well to keep the pressure on unelected first freind Elon, but also the unwillingess to fight being continually displayed by them, won’t communicate seriousness or be effective whenever they do choose to demonstrate proper opposition.
Encouragement for Your Week(end)
This week I want to encourage you to persevere. If you need to make adjustments make adjustments, but don’t give up if something goes sideways. Constanly find new ways to win. Then take it a step further if possible and commit to a methodology. If it’s not resonable to quit or start from scratch, then figure out how to rebound.
We’re probably going to take a break soon. I’ve been meaning to mention this for the last two weeks, but now is the time. Breaks are healthy I’m thinking I might incorporate them into my schedule as opposed to doing them ad-hoc like this, but we’ll see. Good things are still happening, but time away is a good thing too.
