Healing in Public
Fundamentally there is no such thing as healing in public. For me as a Christian the thrust of this idea comes from the Bible where individuals, as part of their cleansing process, would go before a priest to show that they are cleansed from a sin, or something depicted as sinful. From a survival perspective if you are injured in public in some capacity, that means you are weak prey ready to be annihilated from the face of the earth. Practically, healing is something done in private. Sure, you may need exercise as part of your healing process, or maybe you need to give a wound some fresh air, but when you are healing you don’t put yourself in a position to be easily hurt again.
I am considering this idea because Life with Ken is celebrating five (5) years of existence as of the penning of this article. Hitting the five-year milestone to a relatively surprising degree means a significant amount. My general approach to the venture that is Life with Ken must change. The other aspect of this is reflection and introspection. What has happened over the last five years? Before I look too far ahead into the future, I want to take a moment to spend some time with right now. Right now, won’t always be here. Besides being alive and playing Pokémon, there aren’t too many things on earth that I’ve done for five years, let alone consecutively.
